  • Firebase Analytics data (anonymous usage patterns)

1.3 Location Data

With your consent, we collect precise location data via Google Maps API to show nearby venues, events, and players. You can disable this in your device settings at any time.

  • To facilitate venue bookings, event registrations, and marketplace purchases
  • To process payments through Razorpay
  • To display nearby venues and events on the map
  • To send booking confirmations, receipts, and notifications

  • To communicate promotional offers (with opt-out option)
  • To monitor platform performance and prevent fraud

3. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with:

  • Service Providers: Firebase (authentication, database), Razorpay (payments), Google Maps (location services), analytics providers
  • Venue Owners & Sellers: Your name, phone, and delivery address when you make a booking or purchase (necessary to fulfill the transaction)
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or to protect our rights
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures:

  • Firebase Authentication with encrypted tokens
  • Firestore security rules with role-based access control (RBAC)
  • Razorpay PCI-DSS compliant payment processing
  • HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
  • Environment variables for all API keys (never exposed client-side)

While we strive to protect your data, no method of electronic transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

PlayConnect is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us to have it removed.

9. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Upon account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 90 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., dispute resolution, fraud prevention).

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
